 Naturopathic Midwifery Services
As a naturopath, midwife and mother, I understand and know from personal experience that for the majority of women, pregnancy and childbirth are normal processes that do not require any interventions. I provide continuous care and support to women and their families throughout their pregnancy, labor and birth, and the post-partum period.
My naturopathic midwifery services include the following but can be tailor made to suit your needs:
- Free one-hour consultation
- Free pregnancy testing
- Preconception counseling and planning
- Complete care during pregnancy including all initial lab work and complete physical exam with pap and genital cultures, if desired
- Individualized care at each visit that focuses on your needs
- Lending library available
- Continuous care during your labor and birth
- Waterbirth
- Support in the hospital if transport is necessary
- Post-partum care for both mom and newborn at 1 day, 1 week, 3 weeks and 6 weeks post-partum
- Newborn care and well baby visits using growth charts based on breast-fed babies
- Newborn screening
- Adjunct naturopathic pre-natal care for those planning a birth center or hospital birth
- Breastfeeding assistance and lactation consultant referrals for those needing additional support
- On call 24-hour care, 7 days a week
- In-home or office appointments
- Placenta Encapsulation
